Badminton Rackets
Rackets are typically categorized by grip size, which is measured in G sizes:
- G4: 3.25 inches (82mm) - Smaller grip, suitable for juniors and players with smaller hands
- G5: 3.125 inches (79mm) - Most common size for adults
- G6: 3 inches (76mm) - Smaller grip preferred by some advanced players
How to measure: Measure from the middle crease of your palm to the tip of your ring finger. This measurement in inches corresponds roughly to your grip size.
Badminton Shoes
Badminton shoes typically follow standard athletic shoe sizing. We recommend:
- Ordering your regular athletic shoe size
- Ensuring there's about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the shoe's end
- Trying shoes on with badminton socks for the most accurate fit
Brand-specific notes: Yonex shoes tend to run slightly narrow. If you have wider feet, consider going up half a size.
