What Badminton Shoe Midsole Foam Is Built to Do

The midsole is the foam layer between a badminton shoe's outsole and your foot, and it does two jobs at once: compress to soak up landing shock from lunges and jumps, then spring back quickly enough to help the next push-off. Most badminton midsoles are built from EVA or TPU foam.
