The most useful answer is deliberately less dramatic: inspect the equipment, use the hall temperature for shuttle selection and avoid turning controlled materials research into a universal winter rule.

What should change when your racket comes from the cold?

A badminton-specific 2023 racket-string study found that string material, diameter, tension and string pattern affect racket-string response. It did not isolate cold-weather effects, so it cannot support a universal winter tension reduction.
What is a sensible pre-session routine?

Keep your baseline visible. Compare the racket with its usual string, gauge, tension and pattern before changing several things at once. If you test a setup change, change one variable and compare it with your normal arrangement rather than assuming winter conditions demand a particular answer.
A competent stringer can help separate a visible frame, grommet or string-bed issue from player preference. The useful question is not “What does winter always do to strings?” It is “What changed in this racket, under this setup, in this hall?”
